多得颱風的關係,連續幾日的晚餐都得自己煮烏冬麵填飽肚。
原本說要看那個熱爆的電視劇《蝸居》,但又突然間失控的接連看了兩套日劇。

到底是幾時開始喜歡吃漢堡包的呢,忘了。以前香港在 MOS BURGER 後也出現過一陣漢堡包熱潮。不太便宜,一個套餐要三四十港幣。McDonald 也因為競爭激烈,往 fine burger 的路線轉變了,當然價錢也不是以前學生時代一張二十元紙幣就搞定的水平。其實真正好吃的也只有 MOS BURGER 而已。

在 Subiaco 市中心的 JUS BURGER,價格出奇的低廉。招牌的和牛漢堡(Wakyu Burger)也只是 14 AUD 而已,我們沒多說幾句就各自點了 Wakyu Burger Combo。
得先說說,地道的 Fine Burger 由配菜、麵包、煙肉、蛋到主菜的烤肉,全都在大廚的火焰烤爐上決勝負,最後加入蔬菜和配料就是了。堆砌成包的過程不是那麼講究而已,不像香港或日本吃到的那樣,包裝反而是其次。
普遍的 Burger Bar 漢堡包都好巨型,兩手抱緊是可以,但要直接放入口又有點難度,一般來說是要用刀叉吃比較好。
招牌的和牛漢堡,標榜選用 100% 本土生的日本種牛。那個和牛好吃,不用像一般的牛肉餡那樣加入大量的香草掩飾,只是用黑椒輕輕調味就夠了,烤時蘸上日式照燒汁,火力控制得好,封住肉汁,都是基本功而已,材料本身好就不會錯的了。
第一個感覺:怎麼會微微刺鼻的,原來是那個蛋黃醬混和山葵的醬汁,以前也沒想過山葵和牛肉是很合得來的。裡面還有炸過 angry onion,beef root,鮮茄和 rocket 菜,好豐富的食味。
Menu 也特別說明麵包是選用特級 turkish bread,是不是真的很土耳其就不知啦,但真的很好很好吃。外層烤得焦脆,內裡又是酥軟無比,煙韌之極,一咬下去就立即感到麵包會彈上回來,好好咬哦。吸收了肉汁、醬汁和蔬菜,實在巴不得一口咬住這 turkish bread,咀成章魚狀,然後用野獸的方式撕開它,爽快死了。
當然,基於儀態的考慮,以上覓食場面未曾發生。
套餐附有薯條,平時為了健康和美容著想,這個就沒什麼要求,可以的話我會要求改成 mashed potato w/gravy。但那兩小碟的又很特別,一是特製的波菜 coleslaw 沙律,二是西班牙 pickle 製成的酸醬。用來伴薯條兩樣都很惹味,不知不覺就吃光,擔心會長暗瘡都已經太遲了。
